Our Story

J.S. Bova is owned and operated by Joe and Sherri Bova. The company got its start in North Jackson back in July of 2013, later relocating to its home in Struthers, Ohio, in June of 2016.

Having gained years of prior experience in the excavating industry, the couple built J.S. Bova from the ground up, seeking to create an excavating business that offered exemplary service while encouraging and maintaining the wellbeing of its employees.

Joe and Sherri both know from personal experience that treating people well creates a much more enjoyable working environment for everyone involved, resulting in safe and happy employees who truly take pride in the quality of their work. To the Bovas, family is everything and at J.S. Bova, employees are family.

To that end, the company provides annual safety training, weekly on-site “toolbox talks” with its team, OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training, and First Aid and CPR training.
